The world premiere of the short dance film Fibonacci by director Tomáš Hubáček will take place on November 22nd in Tallinn, Estonia.
The PÖFF Shorts Festival will present this experimental work, for which GNOMON Production provided service production, in the Dance Films: Kinetic Novellas section.
The playwright of the section, Arolin Raudva, summed up her choice as follows: “The selected films are a great example of the merging of the dancer’s body with space. Together they create a vast and complex world.” This is a great compliment to the authors of Fibonacci and other films, as they have managed to successfully avoid what Raudva considers to be the biggest stumbling block of dance films: the inability to detach themselves from the mere filming of dance.
