Creators of our documentary The World According to My Dad travelled to Dubai for the COP28 international climate summit organised by the United Nations. As part of their participation at the summit, they gave a presentation called Humor against Eco-Grief / Global Home Story in the Greening Education Partnership section.
The director Marta Kovářová and her father, the protagonist of the film, RNDr. Jiří Svoboda, CSc., DSc. together with Tereza Sikorová, PhD student at PDF MUNI, went to the United Arab Emirates to present the documentary and the idea of the Global Carbon Tax in the educational section of the summit.
During the trip, the creators also spread the idea through social media and with the slogan “JOIN THE GLOBAL SONG” they made many participants of the summit sing and dance. You can still join the global song. For more information, visit the film’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
Marta and Jiří will talk about the results and their newly acquired experience in discussions after the screenings of the film, for example on Wednesday 13 December 2023 at the Ostopovice Library or at a media briefing at Kino Balt in Prague.
